Media reports from Japan have confirmed that the on-again-off-again Honda NSX is… on again.
Not only that, but the world has already been given a special preview of the successor to Honda's first and only Ferrari rival.
To that end, Honda's president, Takanobu Ito, was quoted as saying that the new supercar will be based on Honda's HSV-010GT race car that was unveiled last month.
However, the president did not reveal what kind of engine the NSX successor would use although there is obvious speculation pointing at the race car's 373kW/392Nm aspirated 3.4-litre V8 power house.
Takanobu also hinted that the company is considering creating a compact and affordable sports car, presumably rivalling the forthcoming RWD Toyota/Subaru pairing.
